TCL RIGA MADE IN LATVIA TCL-A 65
Why TCL

Built like a measuring instrument.
Finished like a fine instrument.

Every TCL barrel starts as a digital master, refined from acoustic measurements on our workbench, and ends in the hands of a repair specialist.

Moisture-stable

No wood grain to swell or crack. Bore and tenon fit stay true through changing humidity.

Identical, every time

Made from the same digital master and checked by hand. Found your favourite? Order it again, exactly.

Precise bore profiles

Cylindrical, tapered, T- and U-profiles, reproduced exactly as designed and measured by hand.

Hand-finished in Riga

Sanded and polished to a deep, ebonite-like gloss, with the engraved TCL mark.

  4. BellyThe classic bell-shaped profile, comfortable in the hand and elegant on stage.

How to choose

Three questions to your perfect barrel.

1 · Your clarinet

Choose the make your barrel must fit: Buffet Crampon, Schwenk & Seggelke, H. Wurlitzer or Selmer Récital. Other makes on request.

2 · Your sound

Open and free (B), balanced (A, U) or focused with more resistance (C, T)? The bore shapes the response.

3 · Your pitch

Pick the length that matches your current barrel. Shorter raises the pitch, roughly 3 cents per millimetre.

FAQ

Good to know

Will a TCL barrel fit my clarinet?

Each model is built to the socket dimensions of the clarinet system it is made for. Not sure? Send us your instrument model and serial number and we will advise you personally.

What material are TCL barrels made of?

A high-performance photopolymer, hand-sanded and polished. Unlike wood, it does not absorb moisture, so the bore stays dimensionally stable and the barrel will not crack.

Which bore should I try first?

If you are unsure, start with TCL-A: it is our most balanced design. Players who want a freer response often prefer TCL-B; those looking for more resistance and a compact core usually like TCL-C.

How do I care for my barrel?

Swab after playing, like any barrel. No oiling or breaking-in needed. Keep the tenon corks of your mouthpiece and upper joint lightly greased.

What does a TCL barrel cost?

Every model costs €79, plus shipping. If your clarinet is not on the list, ask us: barrels for other makes are available on request.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship from Riga to clarinettists worldwide.
