My musical journey began at the age of ten at a local music school in Germany, where I took my first steps with the clarinet and piano. My fascination with the clarinet grew so strong that I decided to study this wonderful instrument at the University of Saarbrücken.

During my studies, my passion for the clarinet evolved into something truly special – not only playing, but also understanding and creating the instrument itself captivated me increasingly. After graduation, I followed this inner calling and made the decision to become a clarinet maker

Following successful training in Germany, I took the leap into self-employment. However, my curiosity and desire to learn about different traditions of clarinet making led me around the world. I worked in my profession in Switzerland, the USA, Canada, Japan, Belgium, and Sweden – each country enriched my craft with new perspectives and techniques.

Since 2015, I have found my dream workshop: The Clarinet Lab in Riga, Latvia. Here I combine all my collected experiences and passion for the craft to help musicians around the world achieve extraordinary instruments.
