Full disassembly of every rod, screw, key and post. Detailed microscopic inspection for hidden hairline cracks, wood stability and post alignment.
Mechanical rebuilding & key fitting
- Precision swedging of hinges and shrinking of pivot holes to eliminate all radial and lateral key play
- Realignment of posts and refitting of rods for fluid, friction-free movement
Wood restoration
- Deep, multi-stage cleaning and intensive oil immersion to restore density, moisture balance and resonance
- Secure pinning or carbon banding of existing cracks (if requested or necessary)
- Cleaning and precision polishing of the bore and tone holes
Complete premium replacement

When is it time?
