Every re-pad follows the same careful process in our Riga atelier.
Disassembly & inspection
Complete strip-down of the keywork. The body is checked for hairline cracks and the condition of the tone holes is carefully assessed.
Tone hole cleaning
Gentle cleaning of all tone holes, so the new pads seat on a clean, unaltered surface.
Precision pad fitting
A full set of custom-sized Signati pads, each one levelled and seated for a permanent, flawless seal.
Focused keywork maintenance
- Checking and levelling of the keys for precise alignment with the tone holes
- Inspection of key corks, bumpers and silencing felts, replaced only where necessary
Regulation & lubrication
- Fresh lubrication of all pivot screws and rods with premium synthetic oils
- Micro-adjustment of all linkages and venting heights to your preferred resistance
Rigorous testing
Multiple vacuum and leak-light tests, followed by an extensive play test for a perfectly even tone.
